Faculty Recognized by TN Supreme Court
Professors, Joy Radice and Brian Krumm, of the UT College of Law and Legal Clinic, were recognized by the Tennessee Supreme Court. This recognition was to highlight their 50+ hours of pro bono work within the community.
HRSA Award to Help with Opioids
Sharon Davis, clinical assistant professor in the College of Nursing has received an award from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), a part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, for ‘Project H.O.P.E. – Healing OUD through Prevention and Expertise.’ In collaboration with local practitioners, youth and the community, Davis will work to develop and implement services to reduce the health care provider stigma and improve resources. In 2018, the university received a $200,000 grant from the HRSA to create a consortium within 10 rural East Tennessee counties that had the highest risk for substance use disorder.
