Deadline: March 25 at 5:00 pm
The Office of Community Engagement and Outreach will provide up to $1,200 of travel funds for two faculty members to attend the 2019 Engagement Scholarship Consortium in Denver, Colorado on October 8-9. Pre-conference workshops will be held October 6-7. The conference theme is Deepening Our Roots: Advancing Community Engagement in Higher Education. Call for Proposals is now open. Proposals must be submitted to the Engagement Scholarship Consortium by March 15.
Please send Faculty Scholarship submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line ESC Scholarship. The submission should contain all information required for the conference submission plus a narrative describing your demonstrated interest or experience in engaged scholarship in PDF. Include the reasons for your interest in attending the conference and the possible outcomes you anticipate resulting from your attendance. The Office of Community Engagement and Outreach and the Academic Outreach and Engagement Council will review submissions concurrent with the conference review. Funding is contingent on acceptance to present at the conference.
Each traveler’s department is responsible for processing registration and all travel related expenses. Once travel is completed and the traveler has been reimbursed by his or her department, documentation should be submitted to the Office of Research and Engagement, which will transfer funds to reimburse the departmental account.
