In August, a new cohort of professionals will help shape education in east Tennessee. The UT Leadership Academy announced its 12 fellows for 2018-2019. The cohort will embark on a journey that pairs education with experience. Fellows will be paired with an experienced principal or mentor for four days a week. On the fifth day, fellows with take to the classroom to learn research and theory. The program is in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. After successful completion of the intensive 15-month program, fellows will earn a master’s or Education Specialist degree along with eligibility to obtain their license as a principal in Tennessee.
