PIPES provides college-going and STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, and medical) awareness to high school students in Campbell and Union counties. This presentation will provide an overview of our current activities and research, including our 10th grade in-school curriculum and our summer camp program. We will discuss successes we have achieved, barriers we have faced, and next steps for PIPES, including two new potential funding opportunities.

The goal of the Appalachia Community of Scholars is to coordinate and conduct research and engagement throughout the region to better understand its resources, people, culture, opportunities and challenges, and to help promote equitable and sustainable development.
